Did you know? The 189^th Oktoberfest is held in Munich from Saturday 21^st September – 6^th October 2024 as part of the festival of the City of Munich and lasts for at least 16 days!

You can visit the official site here https://www.oktoberfest.de/en with all tourist and travel information, concerts and important dates for your diary, not least on how to get there. For those who can’t attend, fear not, there will be a live stream at the ‘Wiesn’.

Alternatively, the UK has its own Oktoberfest UK events in 2024, including live oompah bands, German food, and authentic beer. Other cities participating include:

• Oktoberfest Poole: Poole Park, 11^th – 12^th Oct featuring authentic German festivities and music
• Oktoberfest at Walton Hall and Gardens: Old Riding School event featuring oompah band, traditional steins, and cuisine. Dates are Friday 27^th Sept – Saturday 28^th Sept & Friday 4^th Oct – Saturday 5^th Oct
• Oktoberfest Newcastle: This event will take place on Friday 11^th Oct – Saturday 12^th Oct
• Oxford Oktoberfest: This event will take place on Friday 25^th Oct
• Shropshire Oktoberfest: This event will take place at Shrewsbury Quarry
